JUNIOR COMPETITION In Team A, Year 9s Ollie Trollip and Gus Elworthy took the stage alongside experienced Year 10 Oscar Stove. From potato experts in Yes, And Experts , to speeding ghosts in Half Life , the team finished with Genre Rollercoaster , where they found themselves canoeing around the stage on an elaborate adventure. However, their impeccable comic timing was no match for Riccarton High School, who sailed through to finals. However, Team B found itself at The Court Theatre for the finals. Featuring skilled Year 10s Max Durkin, James Melhuish, and Charlie Wood, and exceptional newcomer Cole Moffat (Year 9), the team fought it out to secure the winning trophy. Word at a Time Story was followed by the hilariously physical Shift Left , and then Typewriter , where James narrated the tale of five-year-old Charlie and his ginger cat, Max, on the quest to steal a cookie from mum, Susan (Cole). A shout out to James for the half bonus
point, awarded for his astounding Scottish accent, which seemingly won College the competition. With such passion, perseverance, and joy, we have much to look forward to in 2024. Our theatresports legacy thrives
thanks to the commitment of these energetic improvisers, and we look forward to celebrating even greater success. Nikki Bleyendaal Theatresports Coach
