The above coaches work here for the boys on College general training nights. I wish to thank any coach who has helped our boys privately over the past year. Captains: AJ Madondo, Oscar Wells- Swann, Joseph Nash ATHLETICS CAPTAINS Captains AJ Madondo, Oscar Wells-Swann, and Joseph Nash were to have helped organise the athletes to help run the College championships at Nga¯ Puna Wai. With Upper unavailable because of the construction of the sports centre, College was to hold the annual sports event there. Sadly, rain stymied those plans, with only the 3000m events held the previous day. As a result, championship titles were not awarded. Meanwhile, the captains stepped up to help manage the team at the Canterbury and South Island Secondary School Championships. All three have been excellent members of the team over the years. Thank you for your contribution over several seasons, and for your leadership amid limited opportunities in 2023. COLLEGE ATHLETICS DAY CHAMPIONSHIPS The following 3000m College records were set on the Nga¯ Puna Wai athletics track, instead of the usual Upper grass track:
