This year, with Upper out of commission, it has meant a lot of extra travel to training at Nga¯ Puna Wai. It has been hard for our athletes to get in the quality training at times. It has meant extra sacrifice in terms of travelling and time for our coaches, athletes, and parents. However, as you can see by our results, we have had some significant success in many events. I wish to acknowledge the hard work of all the staff, coaches, and many parents who have made our venue change work and helped to improve our results. Without the outstanding commitment of these people, that level of success could not have happened. On behalf of the athletes, thank you for your hard work. CONCLUSION The cancellation of our
championship event was a significant disappointment following hours of preparation by many staff and boys. The overnight rain meant it just was not feasible. Thank you to everyone for their efforts and we look forward to 2024 and hopefully better weather.
