clean-up to maintain and improve our local environment, emphasising our dedication to the responsible stewardship of our natural resources. The joint initiative showcased the power of partnerships in having a positive impact on the environment. Another significant event was the School Strike 4 Climate. Our committee took charge of mobilising support and increasing participation in this important global movement. We recognised the urgency of addressing climate change and made sure our school community was well-represented in the strike to advocate for meaningful action on climate issues. We worked closely with the City Council to address transportation concerns around the school. By identifying problems and proposing sustainable solutions, we aimed to make biking and other eco-friendly forms of transportation more accessible to students. Last, a successful recycling programme was implemented in Flower’s House. We are working towards expanding this initiative to all three boarding Houses. Given the substantial consumption of milk in the boarding Houses, the introduction of recycling is a vital step in reducing waste and making our living spaces more eco-friendly. Overall, it was a successful year for the committee, with members engaged in various events and initiatives, establishing connections, raising awareness, and advocating for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future. the name of the organisation and cultivate Round Square’s Discovery Framework to help College graduates become lifelong learners and globally competent men. Kicking off the year with an initiative celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, more than College 400 students gathered in a circle around the Quad. Interlocking their hands and arms in the rain, they recreated the iconic Round Square building at Gordonstoun school to demonstrate the unity within the College community against the racial discrimination still prevalent in society today. The committee organised an eventful Round Square Week, which has become a beloved tradition at College. This year, Round Square Schools’ Support Director – Australasia and East Asia Region, Ben George, visited College to complete a five-year reflection during our own Round Square Week. With the five-year reflection, he also provided an insight into how College and the Round Square Committee might progress, having incorporated the core IDEALS into the education and longstanding traditions of the school. The Junior Round Square Committee also put together a Junior Round Square Week while senior students were undertaking their end-of- year exam preparations. With the collective efforts of the Junior committees in putting together initiatives, emerging leaders like

Benson Geng-Wang stepped up to help foster the Round Square IDEALS among the junior students. This year, College students again attended the Round Square conferences and exchanges following the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic. Three students from Years 9 and 11 enjoyed an exchange with Scotch Oakburn College in Australia. Senior students Jack McKeown and Tom Foster attended the Round Square Conference in Kenya in early October and shared stories of their life-changing experiences in Assembly, prompting other students to attend the overseas conference next year. In December, Benson Geng-Wang went to St Paul’s College in Hong Kong on an exchange. JJ Wada, Tate Aikawa, Ericsson Ye, Oliver Trollip, and Charlie de Costobadie, accompanied by International Student Manager Sarah Davidson, attended the Round Square Conference hosted by Whanganui Collegiate. Furthermore, Aaron Kwak was selected for the Round Square service trip to Thailand – a great accolade for Aaron and Christ’s College. The achievements of the International & Round Square Committee this year reflect the hard work of committee members, and the invaluable support and expertise of Deputy Principal Rob Donaldson, Director of Round Square at Christ’s College. It was an honour to conclude my five years of service to Round Square at Christ’s College by leading
