Lachie sets an excellent example to the boys in boarding in his commitment to his studies, his participation in the choir, and his involvement in community service. He collaborated with the Service Committee in the sleepout for homelessness service project; assisted in the Love Grace Prefect service project and was a companion for Sony Camp.
