Dinner, with prizes generously donated by the Condell’s community. These projects were led by Olivia Austin and those students who gave up their time to be a part of the service group within the House. In September, Condell’s students participated in a 10km walk from the Sign of the Takaheˉ and back. The boys' high spirits and their understanding of the significance of this walk were commendable. This walk served as a poignant reminder of the daily journeys children in Uganda undertake just to attend school. A special acknowledgement goes to Tania Sharr, who led this event. The walk was a great success. Aside from the funds raised for an excellent cause, it has also allowed friendships and skills to form and develop in both the planning and execution of the project. Our raffle, held at the Condell’s House Dinner, raised funds for the Maˉia Health Foundation which is working to improve health outcomes for rangatahi in Oˉ tautahi. It is raising money for Kahurangi, a new youth mental health facility. House Haka The House Haka competition was competently led by Tom Rawstron. It was an opportunity for the boys to work together and take pride in their sense of unity as a House.
