PASTORAL CARE Corfe House

It is a source of immense pride and satisfaction to pen this report as I conclude my seventh and final year as Corfe Housemaster. My arrival in mid-2017 marked the beginning of my tenure as the third Housemaster for some of the senior boys, presenting numerous challenges. However, witnessing the graduating Year 9 boys leave the House in such a positive state has further fuelled my determination to make 2023 even more remarkable. This year has, of course, its challenges but I am both satisfied and happy with where we have reached. The boys around me are thriving. The deeply embedded Corfe values of self-reliance, respect, and kindness resonate with almost every boy, instilling in them a genuine pride in being part of a collective that

transcends individual pursuits. I am thoroughly impressed with how the new lads and their families have found their way and look happy and settled in Corfe and the wider College. This year's new boy orientations have been the most successful to date. Corfe has had mixed results in House competitions this year but there is no doubt we are again leading in the House support and enthusiasm category. In swimming, we were all very proud to watch Jordan Astley (Year 13) dominate in the senior grade and, ultimately, being awarded senior champion. After a lot of organisation, it was very sad to see the athletics sports cancelled for 2023. In my seven years as Housemaster I have now seen half
