Upper Library
• The Upper Library contains a study center with soft seating and smart tables. There is also a study room for group or individual study. When using this space, students are expected to maintain an atmosphere conducive to study. This includes talking or laughing at a volume considerate of others, not being disruptive if in a group, and using headphones or earbuds. • The Upper Library is open when the passageway to The Wyrtzen Center is open.
Lower Library
• The Lower Library is maintained as a whisper-quiet space for individual study. Students are expected to contribute to an environment in which each person may focus well. • The Lower Library’s front room is a study center with individual smart desks. There are also two study rooms. Study rooms are not soundproof; talking is allowed in these rooms at a level that does not disturb those outside. • The Lower Library’s back room contains bookshelves which hold the print book collection (the “stacks”), the Circulation Desk, and the Library Director’s office. • Lower Library usage is accounted for by signing in and out on the iPad at the Circulation Desk. • The times the Lower Library is open are displayed in the Upper and Lower Library halls. Open hours are designed to give students the most access possible to Circulation Desk help, print Library resources, and quiet study opportunities. It is usually open each morning, afternoon, and evening, with some exceptions, such as student required events, Snowcamp weekends, and school breaks. • A printer is available for self-serve student use at the Lower Library circulation desk. It is not connected to Wi- Fi. Printed pages are 5¢ each. Blank pages, such as for drawing maps for class assignments, are available at a minimum of five at a time for 5¢. Payment must be made in cash at the time of printing or blank page request. • A copier is available behind the Circulation Desk in the Lower Library. Students who need copies may ask the Library Director or Team for assistance. Copies are 5¢ each.
