Ryrie Online Library – Function

The Ryrie Online Library is a collection of over 2,600 of Dr. Charles Caldwell Ryrie’s digitized works including sermons, teaching notes, articles, manuscripts, and other items. These are available free of charge to students and the public. – Location The Ryrie Online Library is found at Ryrie Online Library | Word of Life Bible Institute (ryrielibrary.org). The website is divided into Personal Interest, Writings & Sermons, and External Links sections.

IV. LIBRARY POLICIES

Patron Privacy

• The privacy of all users of the Word of Life Library and Study Center is respected in compliance with federal and state laws, professional standards, and Word of Life Bible Institute policy. The Library Director and Team do not divulge details of individual users except as needed during the course of normal library operations and are required to respect the privacy of all students in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

Disability Assistance

• The Library and Study Center was designed to provide reasonable accommodation to users with disabilities to promote their participation in using the facility and its services. The Library Director and Team are always available to provide logistical, software, and retrieval assistance for users who are unable to navigate these services for themselves.

Resource Challenges

• The Library collection contains a representation of information presenting divergent worldviews so that students and employees can intelligently study such subjects. These resources should not be construed as representing the views of Word of Life Bible Institute. Print books containing such information may have a disclaimer stamped early in the book. A current student or employee may request a review of a particular resource by putting the request in writing with a signature and submitting it to the Library Director. The Library Director will take it to the Library Committee for consideration. The person who contested the item will be notified of the Committee’s decision.

• Duties: Selects and acquires books and other Library and Study Center materials; catalogs and oversees processing, maintenance, inventory, and weeding of those materials; develops and manages the Library’s website;
