The just released Paper and Packaging Board’s (P+PB) 9th annual State of the Campaign report details the positive impact of its sustainability cam- paign on the paper and packaging industry’s repu- tation and consumer preference. The national consumer campaign addresses con- sumers’ concerns about the use of forests to make products, showcases product innovations and plas- tic substitutions, educates why using paper prod- ucts is a smart choice for the environment and re- minds how to recycle properly. “The campaign is making an impact with consum- ers,” said Mary Anne Hansan, P+PB President. “Learn- ing the facts about the paper industry’s sustainability practices and product benefits dramatically improves whether our core audience sees the industry as part of the environmental solution or problem.” The report showcases recent work, including: • The Go Papertarian! initiative with comedian and actress Retta getting consumers to think about what a product is packaged in before or at the point of purchase. • Pack It! The Packaging Recycling Design Chal- lenge where contestants compete to design recycla-
TLF Invests In SEI Laser Labelmaster
Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Rochester, New York, TLF Graphics is a technologically diverse printing company specializing in product decorat- ing for the food, beverage, cannabis, health and beauty markets. The company has recently invested in an SEI Laser Labelmaster from North American distributor Matik, Inc. Searching for new equipment to replace its exist- ing laser system TLF visited the SEI Laser and Matik booth at Labelexpo. SEI’s Labelmaster was being demonstrated live at the show. Labelmaster delivers digital finishing, including rapid setup and on-the-fly changeovers and cutting without the need for tooling and die inventory, ac- cording to the company.
