Streamlined Setup with Automated Slitting Pa- rameters: HYBRID Software’s automation will trans- mit slitting parameters to the ABG Digicon Series 3 machine through the ABG Connect platform. 2. Enhanced Inspection Automation: The part- nership reportedly brings about a more automated process for driving ABG’s proprietary camera in- spection technology, fleyeVision. 3. Efficient Laser Cutting: The ABG DigiLase ma- chine will benefit from CLOUDFLOW’s ability to incorporate QR codes representing corresponding dielines for laser cutting. Mondi Launches Sustainable Sleeve Packaging Mondi has launched a new more sustainable sleeve packaging, created to replace conventional plastic shrink wrap around 1.5 litre sparkling soft drink multipacks produced by Coca-Cola HBC in Austria and keep them secure. Mondi’s Hug-IT, which keeps six bottles together during transportation, is made of Mondi’s Advan- tage SpringPack Plus. The Hug-IT sleeve will secure 1.5-liter PET multi-packs of the Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and Mezzo Mix brands and will be sold in retail outlets throughout Austria. FSC Certified Advantage SpringPack Plus is 100 percent kraft paper made from wood that is FSC Certified (with the license code C012179) as being made with re- sponsibly sourced fibres, and recyclable in exist- ing paper recycling streams: paper has one of the highest recycling rates among packaging materials in Europe (82 percent within the EU) and is conve- nient to dispose of for consumers. The Hug-IT solution has taken three years to com- plete, from conception through to planning, trial- ling, and getting the product onto shelf.
