PAAS offer WELD-ON IPS 724 Training which is applicable to everyone that needs to do plastic piping systems and is specifically tailored to the Sch40 / Sch80 PVC-U and CPVC piping systems.
Two Training programs are offered and tailored to fit your organisation’s needs:
• Basic Training – Seminar only • Industrial Training – Seminar / Hands on training and Bonder Module
Seminar Module • The basic principles of solvent welding Sch40 & Sch80 PVC-U and CPVC pipe and fittings • Techniques as per ASTM D2855 Standard • How to choose the right solvent cement for the Job.
• Cause of joint failure • Safety Precautions
Hands on Training • Interference fit check between pipe and fitting • Pipe-end deburring / Chamfering • Primer application • Solvent Cement Application • Pipe joint assembly
Bonder Module (Some Charges involved) • Participants make a pipe joint assembly • The assembled sample is sent away and is hydrostatically pressure tested per ASME B31.3 Bonder qualification standard. • If the sample passes the pressure test, a qualification card is issued to the participant.
