The goal for graduate programs in the College of Professional Studies (CPS) is to create and maintain sustainable programs that provide high quality instruction and professional preparation for our students. CPS provides a diverse array of online, hybrid and face to face programs for adult non- traditional students seeking professional development which can lead to licensure depending on the program. Three distinct budget models are utilized in the fiscal management of CPS graduate programs: 1. State appropriated (fund 102) that utilize a combination state appropriation and tuition dollars to operate. 2. Collaborative degree (fund 189) operated by UW-Extension who collects tuition and distributes a share back to participating campuses to pay operating costs. 3. Cost recovery (fund 131) which generates enough tuition revenue to cover the costs – both departmental and university – incurred in the annual operation of the program. 4. Seven programs operate under the UW System Service Based Pricing model. STATE OF CPS GRADUATE PROGRAMS
