A minister of Christ is often in highest honor of men for the per formance of one half of his work, while God is regarding him with displeasure, for the neglect of the other half. —Richard Cecil. M. Zwemer. SECOND DAY A Present Possession “In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. . . For thou hast delivered my soul from death” (Psa. 56:11, 12). A man who possesses, but }s not sure whether his account is good, and, there fore,- does not draw upon it, is, for all practical purposes, a pauper. So / t is with this question of the present/ pos session of eternal life. . . . The Word of God is the guarantee of our salva tion and the ground of our assurance. . . . This is one of the reasons that so many people have found comfort in the Word of God. It is a solid ground of certainty.—-Donald Grey Bamhouse.
