Holy Spirit. The chapter is addressed to those who are “dead" to their own self interests and whose lives are ‘‘hid with Christ in God” (v. 3). The. very heights of glory are touched in the truth that is presented iiere—the union of the believer with Christ, now and the blessed promise of appearing “with him in glory” (v.4). The person who has received experimentally even a glimpse of this blessed truth will have a new motive for “getting along” -With his associates—that is, the desire to please Christ in all things; and he will have a new enabling for the task, even the power of the indwelling Lord. How should the believer conduct him self in his daily walk? What should be “wear” ? Uniforms are useful in order that one may recognize the service per formed by the wearer. How much more necessary is it that servants of God should be dressed in the garments ap proved of heaven! In verse 12, we are told to “put on” certain things—kind ness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering, and the like. As a beau tiful girdle, we are to use “love, which is the bond of perfectness” (R. V.). Thus clothed, the believer will present a divine attractiveness. The remainder of the passage indi cates that the saved one is to have not only a heavenly wardrobe, but also heavenly words and a heavenly walk. These are the characterizing marks These illuminating chapters for young and old Christians deal with all the various aspects of prayer. The book will prove a valuable guide to a vigorous and healthy prayer life, and an aid to all traveling the straight and narrow path that leads to glory. $ 1.00 • EVEN AT THE DOORS-The Coining King and the Coming / Kingdom By F.
