Both statem en ts are tru e and in th e ir very tru th carry condemnation. In contradiction to these w rong ideas concerning faith is th e teaching of th e Word of God, which shows th a t biblical faith is th e best founded and most sensible fact in th e universe. The apostle does no t give us a scien tific or theological definition of faith in these verses. He does m ake a sta te m ent reg ard ing it, and illu strates how it works. Some o ther renderings of
