Jesus told th e disciples they could always know th e people who loved Him, because they would obey God’s word, th a t is they would do the things God had asked them to do in H is word, th e Bible, and when we do th a t we are always doing th e things th a t please Jesus. R igh t h ere is a splendid place for our memory verse. I will say it over and th en you can say it afte r me. “ If ye love me, ye will keep my commandm ents.” Command­ ments seems a big word for little folks, bu t it ju st means, God’s word. So, now listen and I will say it th e easy way. If ye love Me, ye will keep My words. Let us say it over again. Now how do we show our love for Jesus? By keeping His word, and keeping His words means, doing w hat th a t word says. Jesu s said good trees bore good fru it, so if we bear good fru it by doing th e things Jesu s w ants us to do, w hat kind of trees are we like? The good trees. How do we find ou t w hat are the things Jesus w ants us to do? From th e Bible. I wonder if I should visit in each one of your homes th is next week and ask m other w hat kind, of a tree you had been like, w hat she would tell me? When she called you in from your play one day la st week to take care of baby b ro th er or sister, or help h er in some o ther way, did you come runn ing in w ith a sm iling face, and do ju s t w hat she asked you to do ju st the best you could? Did you get up th is morning when mother called, and were you a real little sunbeam in the home, helping in every way you could? You know Sunday morning is a very busy world, good and bad. The good people are those who love Jesus, and the bad people are those who do no t love Him. He also told them they could no t tell w hat kind of people they were by th eir looks, b u t by th e things th ey did You

When we look a t th e fru it trees in th e w inter when th e leaves are all gone and th ere is no fru it on them , we can not tell w hat they are, for a good many of them look alike, b u t in th e summer when they are full of ripe fru it, do they look alike th en ? No we can easily tell w h at kind of a tre e it is by th e fru it th a t grows on it. Do you know Jesu s said people were like trees too? Yes, and in our sto ry today we are going to hear how people are like fru it trees. P rayer. Lesson S tory: In our sto ry for today, Jesu s was w ith His disciples up on a mountain, and you will remember th e disciples were th e m en'w hom Jesus chose to be w ith Him and help Him in H is work. Jesus was sitting down ta lk ­ ing to H is disciples who were sitting n ear Him. W h at happy tim es these disciples had w ith Jesus, and we are all so glad God had so many of these b eau tifu l stories p u t in th e Bible for us.
