We have been running predominantly Red Angus Cattle since 2011. The dams of these heifers are mostly moderate-framed, good mamas, with good dispositions. Since weaning, these heifers have rotated between two small pastures. Their main forage has been Bahia grass, with times access to Rye grass and Tifleaf 3 millet during Winter and Summer seasons. Within the last year, these heifers were worked 9/27/24 and 12/9/24. The following vaccines were used on both occasions: Bovishield Gold FP5 L5, Cydectin, and Vision 8. Pour-on wormer was applied on 7/23/25. All heifers were AI’d 1/11/2025. The clean -up bull was placed in on 1/28/25 and taken out on 3/23/25. Based on the pregnancy checks, all heifers should be between 23-25 month old at calving. Both AI (“Rancher” St Genetics) and clean-up bull (young bull from Jones College) are Registered Red Angus bulls.
Based on preg check:
• Tag #’s 35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 42- AI bred and should calve around 10/20/2025. • Tag #’s 34, 37, 41 - bred by clean-up bull and should calve November-early December.
