If you’ve been approached by our Athlete talent partners, Athlete Career Transition (ACT) Ltd., then you have been identified by ACT as a high-perfoming, potentially appropriate athlete for our exclusive career development program. The program will provide selected athletes with the best mentoring and support possible from both EY and ACT to aid the future transition from top level sport into a high performance business environment. The program will offer well-paid, structured and progressive full- and part-time roles to suit the individual and will start in the months following the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

This document aims to provide further information on the opportunities available, along with an insight into how the program works.

Athlete Career Transition

Athlete Career Transition was created in 2010 through a combination of the career transition experiences of ACT’s Founders, retired Welsh International Rugby Union brothers, Andy and Steve Moore. Now that professional athletes, from all sports are retiring from their sporting careers with little knowledge or understanding of the skills they have gained over years of elite competition, ACT, in partnership with EY, have developed a comprehensive transition program for elite women athletes at all stages of their career and beyond. Enabling them to successfully transfer those skills into the most appropriate business environments for them. Many elite professional athletes enter this new phase of their life often with few qualifications, no experience and no guidance for the future.

As a result, ACT completely focus on fully preparing elite athletes for their transition into life after sport delivering huge internal and external value to EY. From understanding their transferrable skillsets through to interview preparation and beyond, ACT exist to support these athletes make the most of the opportunities provided to them. Along with providing the necessary support to obtain the program, ACT provide a dedicated performance psychologist, available exclusively to the athletes, who will work with them on an ongoing basis to support the transition process and provide guidance through real, lived experiences. Working closely with the EY senior management teams both locally and globally, ACT ensure athletes receive the support required for a successful transition.

In order to qualify for the EY Women’s Olympic Program, you must;

Working within the Advisory services departments you’ll be working to deliver insights and quality services, building trust and confidence in the capital markets and in economies all over the world. Once accepted onto the 6 month transition program, we will find the right role to fit your skillset.
