The 580 seat full-sized stage and professional theater has an orchestra pit, state-of-the-art lighting, and fly space to host multiple performances. The beautiful undulating walls are finished in white oak panels, enhancing acoustics, and housing indirect lighting and the theaters’ exterior complements the school’s white vernacular. The addition blends seam - lessly into the school’s interior common spaces, sharing a lobby, rest rooms, and conces - sions with the new Athletics Center that Murray Associates and design partner, Center - brook Architects and Planners, also designed in 2019. The theater is designed to feel intimate for daily school use, small groups, and large per - formances. It has created an opportunity for the school and traveling professional organizations to provide performances for the students and the Lancaster community.
Size: 40,000 SF While many corporate entities recognize that their location can be used as a recruiting tool, Blue Foundry’s president and CEO shot well ahead of the corporate America curve by invit - ing the architect to its rebranding meetings. In August 2021, staff were welcomed back to the office at the new headquarters that featured design elements covering nearly every square foot of the office, through program, finishes, furniture, and layout such as 14 different ceiling types; non-assigned reservable stations with sit/stand desks; a reduced number of private offices, with those offices more toward the cen - ter. Unusual amenities also include a wellness room, lounges with fire features, and a cafete - ria with dispensers for wine, beer and kombucha.
