Koenig & Bauer Enhances Senior Management Team

Koenig & Bauer (US/CA) is entering a new chapter of lead- ership at its Dallas, Texas, headquarters. Four well known and members of the North American graphic arts industry will be leading the company forward with their extensive experience, proven leadership, and exceptional skills. Gerrit Zwergel has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He is a long-standing member of the North American team, having served as CFO for Koenig & Bauer (US/CA) for over 25 years. He will continue in his role as CFO in addition to his new responsibilities as CEO. “I am proud to lead this organization into the future as we evolve with the dynamic marketplace and introduce exciting new technology,” says Zwergel.

Chris Talbert has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will join the management board of Koenig & Bauer (US/CA). Over his 21 years with the com- pany, he has displayed an extremely suc- cessful managerial style as the senior vice president of service operations in devel- oping a team of experienced and skilled service technicians who provide custom- ers with long-term service solutions. Jeff Dietz has been appointed as the new SVP of sales of Koenig & Bauer (US/ CA). Previously, he had served as the vice president of the firm’s web and specialty press division. In his new role, he will be meeting extensively with current and po- tential customers as well as overseeing the North American sales team. “It is my privilege to rejoin Koenig & Bauer (US/CA) as its SVP of sales,” says Dietz. “I will be working closely with the sales organization and their laser-focus on the packaging, commercial, and label printing markets as well as several key niches.” With nearly 24 years with Koenig & Bau- er (US/CA), Eric Frank will continue as its senior vice president of marketing in which he will continue to drive and manage the company’s marketing strategies in a holis- tic approach. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the company as it expands and launches new technology. Due to personal reasons, the former CEO of Koenig & Bauer (US/CA), Kilian Renschler, has decided to return to Ger- many. He has been instrumental in leading the firm’s North American operations since January 1, 2021. During his tenure of near- ly five years, he has significantly strength- ened the company's position.
