DRIVEN TO DELIVER THE BEST FOR OUR CLIENTS I HAVE A DREAM
This month, almost 60 years ago, civil rights activist and Baptist minister Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous and iconic “I Have a Dream” speech in front of 250,000 individuals. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content
tracking and organization. All of our initial client questionnaires, or “CQs” as we call them, are done via Zoom. This way, we save clients the commute time and hassle of coming into the office and allows us to connect with the client on a personal level while they are within the comfort of their own home.
of their character. I have a dream today,” he stated. On the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C, his words impacted the world in a tremendous way, a testament to the power of faith, hard work, and determination. Inspired by the actions of Martin Luther King Jr., I too had a dream for the inception of Case Barnett Law in 2015. And now, in 2022, I still have a dream for our firm. We’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of so many people thus far and our work isn’t nearly done — we have many more lives to touch and to serve.
I have a dream to treat each and every client like family in the way that we care about the well-being of the person behind the case and their life and recovery. Thus, tracking important dates and celebrating them with our clients is important to us. We want to know your birthday, your surgery date, your anniversary, for together, we commemorate these milestones. I have a dream that every single client we serve refers their loved ones to us, not to benefit the growth of the firm, but because it’s a surefire confirmation and reassurance that we were the best attorney for them, we took care of them, and they trust us enough with their family
One of our core values is to be attentive and responsive to the needs and
convenience of our clients. Having the technology available to enhance the experience for our clients is paramount. We are all different — certain communication methods are easier or more comfortable for us than others, and we are constantly on the lookout for different ways to collaborate with our clients. Recently, we initiated a feature that allows us to communicate with our clients via text messaging. When we receive information from our clients via SMS, that data goes directly into their file for easy
and close friends. We value the trust clients place in us, for we recognize just how tough it is to find attorneys that you can trust wholeheartedly, knowing that they care about the person behind the case. Here at Case Barnett Law, we have a dream to take care of you.

The best part of summer vacation is definitely spending time at the beach. It’s a great place to relax while soaking in the sun and dipping your toes in the water. One thing that can be a hassle, though, is protecting your valuables. With so much traffic on the sand, it’s an easy place for someone to scoop up a bag or snag a phone that’s sitting on a towel. Here are a few helpful tips to keep your valuables safe while you enjoy the beach. The Pros of the Lifeguard Tower Something as simple as sitting near a lifeguard tower can deter potential thieves. Since lifeguards have a clear view of the area, they’ll be able to spot suspicious-looking people who are creeping too close to your belongings. If there isn’t a tower nearby, consider sitting near a pier. Your items are less likely to be stolen where there are more witnesses. Waterproof Accessories Who says you can’t be stylish on the beach? Wearing a waterproof waist pouch or carrying a waterproof dry bag can create a greater sense of security. Knowing your valuables are right there floating with you can ease your mind. You could even bury your waterproof bag in the sand for extra protection. Disguising Valuables One great way to hide smaller valuables, like keys or cash, is to disguise them in food packages. Items such as Cheez-It boxes or cans of Pringles SOAK IN THE SUN WITH NO WORRIES PROTECT YOUR BELONGINGS
are a sneaky way to divert attention away from your belongings. If someone just so happens to creep by your spot, it’s unlikely they’ll grab a snack as they look for valuables to steal. Someone to Watch Your Belongings If you don’t have acquaintances nearby, find someone who appears trustworthy to watch over your things — families with children may be a safe option. This isn’t an ideal tactic, since it requires you to have a bit of trust in human kindness from a complete stranger. Or you could possibly leave belongings at a restaurant or bar you frequent. Spending vacation at the beach doesn’t need to be stressful. The risk will always be there, but these options can reduce the chances of someone stealing your valuables and can ease your mind while you relax.
OUR CLIENTS SAY IT BEST “From the very beginning Case was extremely thorough and mindful of the fact that, as someone that had never been in trouble with the law before, I would need the entire process explained again and again. Case was compassionate to my situation to a degree not normally seen in any capacity, which very much helped to put me at ease during the various legal proceedings.
"After almost a yearlong process and many difficult days in court, we went to trial. As a non-lawyer, I know that I can't accurately describe how impressive it was to witness Case in trial. What I can say is that he had a mastery of the facts, down the smallest detail, and that required a level of commitment not normally seen in any profession. The jury was out for less than two hours before we returned to hear the life-changing verdict. "Case dedicated himself to understanding every facet of the case; because of that, my future remains intact. I owe my life to Case Barnett.” –Edward S.

AS TOLD BY FINN AND HARLOW CONQUERING FEARS — EL CAPITAN
During the spring, our family took a really fun trip in an RV up the coast all the way to the Canadian border! In east-central California, within Yellowstone National Park, we visited El Capitan (Spanish for “the captain”), a huge granite mountain that is 3,000 feet tall and over 7,500 feet above sea level! That’s two times as tall as the Empire State Building in New York and three times as tall as the Eiffel Tower in Paris! It’s also 1.5 miles wide! The coolest thing to us about El Capitan is that the walls of the mountain are all almost completely vertical — it almost looks like one big block when

you look at it. On our trip, we learned that there are these really brave people, called free solo climbers, who climb up El Capitan without any ropes, harnesses, or equipment to help them. They just use their hands and feet. That takes so much preparation and skill. We are both in awe of it and can’t imagine how scary and intimidating it must be. But free solo climbing would also be a really cool experience too — talk about conquering your fears! —Finn & Harlow

BREAKING THE BUSY-BORED CYCLE 3 STRATEGIES YOU CAN USE RIGHT NOW
It’s a common problem: People spend most of their days feeling too busy, only to feel bored during their free time. So how can you break the habit of scrolling through your phone and watching TV and make the most of the little time you have for yourself? Let’s talk about ways to break the cycle of boredom and busyness thus creating a more fulfilling life. 1. Plan ahead. Schedule your days and weeks for an even workload to ensure your day doesn’t have huge gaps or work overflow. For example, if you have a large project, you can divide it into smaller tasks to keep yourself busy, yet not overwhelmed, throughout the week. You can also plan fun activities each day. This will help fight boredom and give you something to look forward to when you’re at work or while completing daily tasks. 2. Prioritize tasks. If you have trouble managing projects to the point where you feel you don’t have enough time, begin prioritizing specific tasks. It’s essential to complete the highest priority tasks so you won’t
be up late in the day trying to finish something important. If you plan ahead, you can number your tasks from most important to least. This will help ensure high-priority tasks are completed on schedule. 3. Be curious. One way to mute boredom and implement more creativity is by setting daily learning goals. These goals can be anything you want! Setting small goals and accomplishments will keep you curious, motivated, and focused. They also give you something to look forward to each day. Ask yourself what you want to learn today. Do you want to learn about a new culture? A language? If there is something you’ve always wanted to know, now is the time to put your thinking cap on! Boredom and busyness derive from the same source — there is a lack of quality in how you focus your attention. Luckily, the same strategies apply to both boredom and busyness. These tips will help you create a balanced mindset and allow you to push through your day without feeling overwhelmed or uninspired.
