Apple Crisp Independent Youth Baking Class Instructor: Elizabeth Rogers
Do you like to go apple picking with family? At our Apple Crisp Independent Baking Class we will prepare a delicious take-and- bake apple crisp — the perfect way to use the apples you pick at the orchard! Each young baker will practice age-appropriate skills, gain independence in the kitchen, and leave with a pan that is ready to pop in the oven. This activity will be nut-free; gluten-free available upon request. Please report allergies at time of registration. Thanksgiving Independent Youth Baking Class Instructor: Elizabeth Rogers
In this after school program we explore fun, creative craft techniques. The students learn the basics and explore ways to interpret the craft. Let your imagination be infinite. We provide all the materials and lead the students through the process. This fall we will make fashion crafts that amplify creativity in our students including paper crafts, sewing, hand embroidery, drawing, and more. Preparing family meals for Thanksgiving break can be fun and educational! Each young baker will learn academic and life skills while gaining confidence and independence in the kitchen. Each student will take home a pan of pumpkin bread that can be baked and enjoyed immediately or frozen in preparation for the upcoming holiday. This activity will be nut-free.
