Matt Gitsham “Closwap is a student-led online marketplace for sustainable fashion that enables individuals to trade garments. By embracing circular fashion systems, it aims to extend the lifecycle of clothing, reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainability. The entrepreneurs at the heart of the initiative are Hult students, receiving support from the Hult Founders’ Lab, as well as Hult’s start-up incubator and accelerator programme.” Jako Volschenk “Our students work with non-profits as part of our Business in Society module. This assignment has resulted in impactful results and students often maintain relationships with these organisations after their degrees. Our Small Business Academy has also been extremely successful in helping small business entrepreneurs in marginalised societies to thrive.” Catherine Tilley “Our Entrepreneurship Institute has incubated a range of sustainability- related businesses and all the businesses it supports contribute to a UN SDG. Probably the best known of these is Sojo, an online tailoring and repair company that is setting out to transform the fashion industry by extending the life of garments and is already widely acclaimed. “However, not everything is about creating new businesses. We’ve also had fantastic successes in our work with existing companies on a wide range of issues, from reducing food waste in hospitality to improving staff engagement with sustainability. Our aim is that any student who wants to be involved in a sustainability-related project should be able to do so.”
