Adaptive Teen Cooking Class Recreation Services Staff

Learn basic kitchen safety, cooking techniques and independent living skills while socializing with friends. Each participant completes a food item individually or in a small group, and recipes are provided for participants to take home. Please note that we cannot guarantee the absence of food allergens such as nuts, gluten and dairy during this class. All Needs Yoga Recreation Services Staff

All Needs Yoga with Andi is designed to be accessible to anyone who would like to participate. This yoga class uses multi-sensory instruction and demonstrations and is intended to focus on building self-esteem and confidence, social skills, concentration, communication, balance, breathing, and getting physical activity in a fun way. No yoga experience is required to participate. An adult provider or caregiver is encouraged to attend with any participant who may require direct support.

Join our adaptive instructor, Jen, at the DCRC Pond for an evening of fishing with family or friends! Get up close and hands-on with nature as we practice techniques to catch fish, including how to cast and catch properly. Equipment and supplies are provided; however, participants are welcome to bring their own poles. Individuals who may require supervision or direct support throughout the program’s duration should bring a supportive adult or provider. This program is open to all ages. All participants who plan to fish need to register. The registration fee is linked to the supplies provided for the event. Adaptive Adventuring Fall Hike Recreation Services Staff

Enjoy an accessible fall hike with our adaptive instructor, Jen. This event will include bird watching, identifying trees and will finish with light refreshments. Participants requiring individualized support for mobility or behavioral needs should bring a supportive adult or provider free of charge.
