Yoga focuses on the mind-body connection to improve your physical and mental health. Hatha Yoga is practiced slowly to encourage strength and flexibility while allowing time to focus on breath and awareness. Each practice begins and ends with a calming meditation. A mindful warm-up awakens muscles and encourages mobility. Claudia guides you through intentional standing poses to improve balance, strength and stamina. Seated stretches help release tension while improving range of motion and flexibility. Each class is unique: join us on Mondays, Wednesdays or both. Options to modify or advance poses are offered in this mixed-level class. Blankets, straps, and blocks are provided. Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
Join us for a playful and uplifting yoga practice designed for older adults of any level of experience. Start where you are and foster a healthy mind-body connection. Hatha Yoga is a slow-paced practice, allowing time for intentional movement and awareness. Begin and end each practice with guided meditation and mindful breath work. Claudia’s clear instruction guides you through stretching and exploring standing poses safely to improve your balance, strength and stamina. Seated stretches improve flexibility and increase range of motion for better posture and agility. Final relaxation completes your practice. Each class is unique: join us on Monday, Wednesday or both. Blankets, straps, and blocks are provided to support you in learning and modifying poses. This class does not accommodate chair yoga. Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
