EXHIBITS AND EVENTS WITH DUBLIN ARTS COUNCIL
MONO GONZÁLEZ Sept. 13-Oct. 30
The exhibition on view at the Dublin Arts Council gallery features a selection of prints curated by Alejandro “Mono” González, one of the most important Latin American public artists in contemporary times. Based in Chile, González spent his career creating murals around the world, and using public art as a vehicle for community engagement and activism, and to spread messages of unity and solidarity. Mono González will travel from Santiago, Chile to Dublin, Ohio for a ten-day artist residency, tentatively Oct. 9-18, 2025. During this time, local muralist Adam Hernandez and Mono González will collaborate with Dublin Arts Council staff to offer community events and art-making opportunities that invite audiences to learn more about public art activism, their careers and artistic practices. The community will have the opportunity to participate in printmaking classes, a community mural at River Crossing Park in Bridge Park and collaborative artist talks in collaboration with The Ohio State University’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese and Latinx Studies Community.
