Boost compliance, skills and retention with ACT Fern Brooks MCIPP, Senior Tutor / Qualifications Manager, and Phil Cass, National ACT Sales Manager, The Payroll Centre, provided an exploration of how ACT can level up your payroll team, improving compliance, enhancing skills tracking and supporting recruitment / retention efforts. How to make a success of your payroll technology transition Russell Webb, Business Development Manager, Phase 3 , discussed the topic of choosing and implementing new payroll software, including: l what to look for l how to plan the transition l ways of assessing the benefits the new system brings. Russell’s slot focussed specifically on the considerations for payroll bureaus, who also need to consider the needs of their clients when selecting and rolling out a new platform.

Endorsing compliance and best practice in your payroll and people processes Julie Northover ChFCIPPdip, CIPP Lead PAS Assessor , gave an overview of the CIPP’s Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) – the only accreditation which endorses compliant processes and commendable people development initiatives. Julie provided real-life examples and discussed commonly identified issues during the PAS process.
