Student and Academic Services Overview The Directorate of Student and Academic Services (SAS) was formed in August 2017. It brings together the student services that ensure students are safe, supported and able to thrive in their academic environment with the academic services that facilitate a smooth working and learning environment for students and for academic and professional staff.
Our overarching vision is: • To operate, and to be viewed by our stakeholders, as a professional service and a trusted partner, working collaboratively, that is both faculty and student facing. ● To deliver sector-leading student services that are dedicated to students’ wellbeing, success, personal growth and professional development. ● To act as a catalyst for achieving academic and student ambitions, whilst also upholding the rigour, quality and good governance that will safeguard the University’s future. ● To operate processes and systems that are resilient, efficient and enable a consistently high standard of service in a context of continuing student growth. ● To provide robust data, advice and analysis that informs and influences institutional strategic planning and decision-making.
