Remple, ’29—Treas­ urer. Willard (’36) and Mrs. Backer (Evlin Crowe, ’36) left Chico, Calif., immediately after their wedding on May 31, to go to the state of Washington. Mr. Backer has been appointed by the Conference of the Evangelical Church to two churches, at Soap Lake and Ruff, Wash. Mrs. Backer has been holding child evangelism classes. Andrew H. Hadsell, ’26, received the degree of Bachelor of Divinity on May 6 at the Kansas City Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, Kans. Leslie L. (’29) and Mrs. McCue (Bernice Burger, ’28) have been living in Chicago, where, in addition to attending North Park College, Mr. McCue has been pastor of the Mission Covenant Church in Tiskil- wa, 111. Mrs. McCue has been taking the Scofield Bible Course under the Moody Bible Institute. Eleanor M. Schuhman, ’34, left Los An­ geles on May 6 for Alaska where she will be serving in the El Nathan Home, Valdez, Alaska. Pauline Smith, ’29, sailed on April 10 to the work in the Home at Valdez. Edith Johnson, ’32, Route 2, Box 256, Greeley, Colo., has been employed in an office in Greeley and has found increasing joy in work with her Euodia Club. The girls of the club have been singing and testifying at evangelistic and union church services in the community. Arrie Rouintree, ’34, from a station of the Bolivian Indian Mission at Arani, via Cochabamba, Bolivia, S. A., writes: “I am so happy and thankful to be here in Bolivia in the service of our King. Never will I be able to understand why God has given me such a blessed task.” Gerald and Mrs. Jacobs (Edith Ral­ eigh, ’31), P. O. Box 110, Kano, Nigeria, British W. Africa, who are serving with the Plymouth Brethren at Kano, had the

joy of entertaining five Biola graduates, members of the Sudan Interior Mission, at tea on their veranda a few months ago. Mr. Neufeld, one of the company, has since returned to America for furlough. The
