Working Together It's a TEAM Event! New Leader Transition
A New Leader Transition Session was held May 15, 2024, for Maag America's Kent Ohio Machining Team. Jamie Doolittle is named as the new leader with Larry Baker's upcoming retirement. The process gave room for the team give feedback and ask questions about Jamie as their new leader. The interaction was received wonderfully giving the team a strong path for continued open discussion of what is important overall. "One of the most challenging moments is to go from peer to leader, so this open forum and process gave a strong shared communication space for the team to work through matters openly. I am incredibly proud of what this team accomplished in a 4-hour time frame. Continued transparency will continue, as we learned techniques for solid team communication. Congratulations to all who participated during this session! Also, future New Leader Transition sessions are in the scheduling process for other newly emerging teams. I am excited to see growth through teamwork occur as a result of this effective communication process overall. -Tracy Nester
