Joy, Family and the Warmth of Home The holidays remind us that the greatest gifts aren’t under the tree, they’re the moments shared at home with the ones we love. Merry Christmas! Councillor Jim Herbert’s contact information is available on the stthomas.ca website. “In closing, I believe we have incredible emergency services in our city, and a great hospital with both CT and MRI — long overdue — as well as beautiful parks and trails -- creating a fantastic place for families to be raised. My wife, Rita, and I have six children and 11 grandchildren. I am incredibly grateful for her support.” Moreover, Jim announces with cheer, “I am proud to be part of our city’s growth, and as such, I plan to run again in the next election for City Councillor.” back on track. I firmly believe that we would not be where we are today without the diligent efforts of this Council and our Mayor. Moving the city forward, we start with ‘yes’ and then continue toward the result. We lose as a team and we win together, all while striving to meet the needs of the people. I love being involved, and I appreciate the way that this Council collaborates well.” As Jim continues, “New industries, such as Power Co., create jobs. New builds create homes, as we continue our partnership with Indwell to support the unhoused: Transit Loft, Queen Street and Balaclava. Infrastructure is developing, as well as working to keep our Tax base as low as possible. I love the diversity of our projects on the go, and I want to see them completed.” In his position on City Council, Jim confidently declares, “Regardless of my personal beliefs, I vote for the community. I have a passion for seeing what is happening in the city and as I look around, I see the ways in which we are always trying to improve.”
