We know that people using Ice Baths has grown in popularity due to the amazing mental and physical benefits the cold water brings. We caught up with Mark Hughes, Director of ‘One Life Live It’, and a breath-work and cold-water exposure professional to learn more about the positive benefits of cold water for your mental health and his goal was to set a new simultaneous ice bath World Record. The Guinness World Record attempt took place on Leighton Beach, Western Australia. To count as a Guinness World Record, at least 250 people had to submerge themselves simultaneously in icy water of less than 6 degrees for three minutes. 575 participants entered to be a part of the largest group to get in an ice bath at the same time. Of those, 509 people managed to endure the cold temperatures for the full 3 minutes, setting a Guinness World Record.
