didn’t happen, I just said, ‘Okay, what’s the next dream?’ At 19, I started my own business training athletes on the side, so that was just a natural plan B.” Throughout his 20s and early 30s, Seville tried his hand at numerous MLM and traditional businesses, looking for something that would fulfill the dreams and goals he’d held on to since he was a child. “I’m never afraid to try things,” he says. “And if they don’t work, I’ll try something else. That’s the athletic spirit I learned from football. If I get knocked down, I get back up.” During those years, Seville owned his own gym, was a national men’s physique fitness competitor, and tried several home- based businesses, but nothing delivered the stability and success he was looking for. The MLM businesses he invested so much of his time into turned out to be overpriced and overhyped. And with their requisite overhead and expenses, he found that the traditional businesses ended up owning him. So he kept returning to MLMs, lured by the grand promises of time freedom and limitless success. After yet another failed venture despite their best efforts, Seville and Rachaell were on their last lifeline. They had amassed $30,000 in credit card debt and were living in Rachaell’s sister’s spare bedroom. With an eight-month-old son to care for, Seville was determined to never put his family and friends at risk again. Through it all, he never lost his staunch belief in a brighter future. He never loosened his grasp on his boyhood dreams. They simply meant too much. It was this determination that eventually led him to Melaleuca Presidential Director Jeff Miller. Jeff had consistently been reaching out to Seville over the past two years, and Seville decided it was finally time to hear
what he had to say. “Jeff’s energy was so humble and calm,” Seville remembers. “It wasn’t his status or his income that initially impressed me. I could feel that he genuinely wanted to help me, not just benefit his own bottom line. He was so different from anyone else.” And though Seville was impressed with Jeff, he wanted to make sure Melaleuca was right for his family. “Truthfully, I was looking for something I could commit to for 30-plus years,” Seville says. “I wanted something safe that my family could count on and that didn’t hurt others. Now that I was a father, my whole guidance system had changed. I wanted to see data
and results. If Jeff hadn’t shown me reports of real customers buying real products (and they’re not being paid a dime to do so), I wouldn’t have joined him.” Jeff gave Seville reports as well as a simple game plan, and that changed everything. “I’m a numbers guy, and Jeff gave me a real simple breakdown of what Melaleuca was all about,” Seville says. “I saw that Melaleuca was a shopping club, except everything’s online. I saw that they were an American company, that their products were more natural than other companies’ products. I saw the convenience of online shopping and delivery. I saw a 37-year
