IMPORTANCE OF THE STRATEGY SESSION

Are you interested in how senior Marketing Executives capture the attention of new business builders? In her landmark presentation at Convention 2022, former Marketing Executive of the Year Krista Wineinger outlined the steps for planning and conducting successful Strategy Sessions.

Strategy Sessions are my favorite part of this business. And to be honest, I think it just may be the most important Critical Business-Building Activity we have. You can’t help other people change their lives if you’re not helping them move forward in their businesses—and that starts with a Strategy Session. I’m not someone who typically gets eight enrollments in a month. I’ve done it a few times, but it doesn’t happen a lot. So that means that, with fewer enrollments, I have to be better helping those I do enroll become leaders. All of the growth in your business is going to begin in your Strategy Session. You need to personally meet every single Category 2 and 3 enrollee who comes into your organization. In your Business Reports, pay attention to the last tab on M.O.R.E. that identifies every Category

2 and 3. I print that off and make sure to set meetings with every single person. If you’re not meeting early on with every Category 2 and 3, then you’re dropping the ball in a really important area. TIPS for a Successful Strategy Session Meet In Person I believe Strategy Sessions should all be done in person if at all possible. I understand that some of us have businesses that span the country. I have customers who are out of state, and it’s impossible to meet with them in person. But I’m meeting face-to-face with anybody I can get together with. Why is that important? Think about how we as humans make strong connections. You meet somebody in

person and guarantee them you’re going to change their future. I want to meet with them belly to belly, look at them straight in the eyeballs, and say, “If you want to throw in with our team, we’ll change your life.” And that changes them. They kind of get the shivers. Meet One-on-One All of your Strategy Sessions should be done individually. I can count on two hands the number of times I have met with more than one person at a time during a Strategy Session. I do not do group Strategy Sessions. Why? Because that meeting should focus on changing one person’s future. It’s the meeting where we’re going to talk about personal finances. We’re going to talk about where they are at in their life and where they want to be. And if you have other people
