"Dubai has enabled Sparkle to be in the position it is today. People often ask me, 'How many lives have you changed in Malawi?' And whilst I answer' 20,000', it is also about how many lives we have changed in the UAE regarding mental health and wellbeing, giving people the chance to find their purpose." Raising awareness of the Foundation, the Sparkle Gala, under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, takes place annually in the UAE, now in its third year. The invite-only, three-course gala dinner - a black-tie
evening with entertainment, hosts hundreds of guests, from CEOs, to influencers and celebrities, with 100% of profits going directly into the Foundation. So far, the Gala has enabled 5,000 children, within six months, to be given an education. Those in attendance on the evening shared reports with images of the difference they have made with their attendance and donations. The future looks bright for Sparkle with an expansion into the United States, a book under development and Sarah continuing to push forward, encouraging a natural movement of changemakers of those wishing to truly make a difference.
