Message from the Mayor by Mayor Josh Morgan mayor@london.ca 519-661-4920 Dear Wortley Village residents, Here comes December, and boy, the colder weather has settled in since we last spoke! The air’s sharper, the sidewalks are getting special attention, and your local neighbourhood is ready to sparkle with sea- sonal cheer. I was delighted to
see Wortley’s “Christmas in the Village” event confirmed for Saturday, December 6th, with sleigh rides, music, tree lighting and a great opportunity to gather and celebrate together. We’ve moved together from November’s solemn reflections into December’s warm community gatherings. In Wortley, that shift is made easier by neighbours helping each other, local shops creating festive windows, and events that bring young and older folks together. At City Hall, we’re keeping our crews on standby to make sure our neighbourhood sidewalks and lighting stay safe and welcoming.
Thank you for making Wortley such a caring, connected place, whether it’s your involvement in the community, your support of local businesses, or your kindness to one another. My best wishes to you and your loved ones for a December filled with laughter, friendship, bright lights and the comfort of our neighbourhoods. Mayor Josh Morgan
