Pour le commun de mortel, la maison des arts est fondé en 1989. Ce centre culturel francophone offre une programmation diver- sifiée d’activités, constituée, entre autres, de cours et ateliers, de camps artistiques, de spectacles, d’activités parascolaires, d’un festival folklorique, d’un festival des arts et diverses rencontres thématiques. Mayors Pierre Leroux and Mario Zanth both requested a transfer of their unspent 2023 cultural fund allocations. During the regular meeting on August 25, Mayor Pierre Leroux of Russell Township and Mayor Mario Zanth of Clarence-Rockland wrote to the United Counties of Prescott- Russell (UCPR), both requesting a transfer of their 2023 cultural fund allocations. Zanth requested that Clarence-Rockland’s allocation be transferred to the municipality to be used for cultural projects, while Leroux requested that any remaining funds in Rus- sell’s allocation be carried over into 2024 and added onto their allocation for that year. “I am writing to make a formal request for the transfer of the 2023 Cultural Fund to our municipality.
