There’s more to healing than meets the eye. At Rady Children’s, care stretches far beyond medical excellence and extends into the environment surrounding each child
rehabilitation unit, the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Alexa’s PLAYC, the Helen Bernardy
Center for Medically Fragile Children and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services (CAPS) unit. Award-winning artist Yanina Cambareri spends her days inspiring creativity in patients, either at the bedside or in group settings. As a Healing Arts Associate, she shares her knowledge and talents with patients and helps them work through any anxiety around treatment and shift their focus from their condition. She also helps eating disorder patients in the Medical Behavioral Unit use art as an outlet for healing. Before joining the Healing Arts Program, Cambareri spent
