Another Mother’s Day Weekend success for the annual Crohn’s and Colitis BBQ fundraiser in Rockland sponsored through the local M & M Meatshops franchise. Thanks to the sunny weather, there was a steady flow of patrons at the barbecue tent set up along Laurier Street resulting in an almost complete sell-out of hamburgers, hot dogs and other items offered up for good eating. Volunteers raised $900 just from the barbecue sales alone and also received a further $170 in donated change from supporters. The Clarence-Rockland Fire Department set up at the site to help draw in the crowd and local deejay, Sébastien Dubeau, provided the summer barbecuemood music.
