MILESTONES MONTHLY UPDATES FROM THE COO

Dear Members,

It was a wet and chilly start to the season, but lately we’ve been enjoying a beautiful Florida winter. We have also been receiving overwhelmingly positive member feedback across all operations, including food quality and service, golf course conditions and tournaments, racquet sports activities, and much more. I am very proud of our staff who, despite challenging circumstances have delivered a much- improved experience for residents this year. All that said, I cannot wait to get my team settled into the new clubhouse so that operations are centralized, and managers can more effectively supervise operations and ensure the levels of service you receive are of the highest standard. To that end, I thought this would be a good moment to share our plans for transitioning out of temporary operations, commissioning the new building, moving the team into their new surroundings, and then managing a phased opening. The goal is to have all member areas “open for business” before the end of the year.

Our hope is to gain access to the building by September 1, 2025. We will then have 30 days to “commission” the building (by ensuring that every piece of equipment - down to the last light switch and door latch - is working properly), move staff in, prepare all back-of-house work areas, and begin staff training. Our plan is to open the Clubhouse’s lower level first. This will enable us to move staff out of temporary operations and open the main production kitchen, purchasing area, and employee areas. Most importantly, we will be able to open the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and card rooms, the golf and tennis shops, and Greenside, our new buffet restaurant overlooking the 9th green of the South Course. Greenside will be the only restaurant open in the clubhouse in the first phase of the move-in, offering breakfast,

lunch, and dinner. Since Greenside is a buffet-only restaurant, we will also open the Poolside Café for lunch and dinner to provide members with an a la carte alternative. In the next phase, we plan to open a new venue every three to four weeks, until the opening is complete. The second venue to open will be Hoyt’s,

our new sports bar. As you enjoy Greenside and Hoyt’s, we will be busily training staff in Opus and Alchemy, our upscale food and

6

Frenchman’s Creek

beverage venues, with our new banquet space as the last area to open. The targeted completion of these openings is next season’s Jupiter Medical Center Day (which is currently planned for December 17), so assuming the September 1 date for initial access to the building holds, we can be confident that all areas of the Clubhouse will be up and running prior to the 2025/26 Holiday season. There is much to enjoy between now and then, and in that spirit, we present the March 2025 issue of The Current , which includes a pictorial of several successful golf events, and a celebration of the victories of our triumphant Women’s Tennis Team. In closing, I want to acknowledge that due to the many hours my team and I have spent this season in developing the operating, capital, and pre-opening expense budgets, and our efforts to accelerate the presentation of capital project details to members wherever possible so they can be voted on by members in the coming months, I have not been able to spend as much time as I would like in operations greeting and catching up with members. I miss being able to do this more often and continue to attend as many events as possible. Please rest assured I am always happy to find time on my schedule for any resident who has any questions, comments, or concerns to share about the many things going on in the community at any given time. Should you wish to set up an appointment, please email my Executive Assistant, Brad Daley, at bdaley@frenchmanscreek.com.

Thank you again for your continued encouragement and support of the team.

Sincerely,

Miles Tucker COO & Executive Director

PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY

Safeguarding our members and their homes is our top priority. To keep our members and their guests safe, we use a specific vetting process.

This process evaluates an applicant’s background and qualifications and eliminates unqualified candidates and deny access to our community to those unqualified applicants. It can include conducting background checks, phone screens, and in-person assessments or interviews. The vetting process establishes trust between Frenchman’s Creek security and its vendors. It is the start of an ongoing dialogue about managing risks, which lasts for as long as a person holds a Frenchman’s Creek identification. Every day, our Security Team here at Frenchman’s Creek controls access to the community and monitors the safety of our roadways.

The Frenchman’s Creek Identification Card Rules include:

1. Applicants must posses a permanent Frenchman’s Creek ID card if they provide service more than once per year. 2. Applicants who drive on Frenchman’s Creek property must posses and provide a valid driver’s license and register as a vehicle operator. 3. All non-drivers must provide a copy of a valid government issued ID card or valid passport with a photo. 4. Applicants with a felony conviction or plea (guilty, adjudication withheld, no contest, etc.) within the past five years must meet with the Director of Security to be considered for approval. 5. Applicants with a history of any violent crime at any time in their past will be required to meet with the Director of Security to be considered for approval. 6. Applicants with a history of theft, burglary, etc. at any time in their past will be required to meet with the Director of Security to be considered for approval. 7. The Director of Security and/or Assistant Director of Security will have final authority to accept or deny an applicant’s access to Frenchman’s Creek property. Our Security Team at Frenchman’s Creek appreciates our members’ attention to detail with this matter. Understanding why we place our vendors through a vetting process is essential for our progress in promoting safety. As we continue through these unprecedented times, establishing a vetting process for vendors will promote the safety and security expected within our community. 11 March 2025

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME HELLO HOMEWATCH Taking care of your home when you’re traveling throughout the year or away for the summer is crucial for its maintenance and your peace of mind. Whether you’re going on a short weekend trip or an extended vacation, your home can be vulnerable to a variety of potential issues. Water and weather damage are considered the most common property damage claims homeowners face, for example. Here are just a few ways the Frenchman’s Creek HomeWatch comprehensive inspection can help you guard against unforeseen issues when you’re out of town. Prevents Damage. Address plumbing fixture leaks, electrical malfunctions, or even pests. We can check appliances, shut off water valves if necessary, or ensure that windows and doors are securely closed. For example, performing an air conditioning system inspection or assessing the pool and pool equipment can save significant costs and hassle upon your return. Security Concerns. Inspecting landscape lighting can be effective in deterring unwanted attention. This added layer of security helps to further protect your property in your absence. Preserve Comfort. Emptying forgotten trash bins can prevent unpleasant odors or pests. Plus, caring for the plants or arranging for their care ensures your home will feel welcome and fresh when you return. Ultimately, caring for your home before you travel enhances the experience of coming back, knowing your property is secure, safe, and well-maintained. It allows you to focus on enjoying your trip, knowing that you’ve taken the necessary precautions to protect your living space.

HOMEWATCH HomeWatch, a division of HomeServices, is dedicated to conducting visual inspections of homes for members who are traveling or away. The visual inspection covers:

• Water and weather damage • Plumbing fixture leaks • Breakers and lighting • Landscape lighting • Pest problems and infestations

• Indoor temperature and humidity checks • Checking on pool service from vendors • ... and more

WHAT MEMBERS ARE SAYING ABOUT HOMESERVICES

“On Wednesday morning, February 26th, 2025, we discovered a major water leak in our front driveway. We called our plumber and our gardener, and both were unavailable to respond quickly. We then called the HomeServices Department and you immediately canceled your appointments and met us at the house within 15 minutes. Acting quickly, you were able to locate the main house shut-off valve, dug until you found the leak, and arranged for a plumber to come and repair the broken pipe. Within 2 hours, from start to finish, our serious problem was resolved, and the water to the house was back up and running. We can’t think of any other home locations that provide this kind of professional and expedient service. We cannot thank you enough for dealing with this, a potential serious issue, with such calm, caring and quality work. What a wonderful service you perform for the members of Frenchman’s Creek.”

CUSTOM FRENCHMAN’S COFFEE BLEND

PERK UP YOUR DAY WITH PUMPHOUSE COFFEE

On February 11, brothers and co-founders Alex and Christian Le Clainche of Pumphouse Coffee were on site here at Frenchman’s, offering members a chance to try four unique coffee blends at a tasting held at the Pavilion. “We roast everything in house in our 8,000 square-foot warehouse in West Palm Beach, so it’s very fresh, and then distribute it to all our partners,” Alex Le Clainche explained. “It’s like a coffee fun factory.” Both Alex and Christian launched Pumphouse Coffee Roasters 10 years ago to enable local access to specialty coffees from around the world. “We have a partnership with Pumphouse Coffee and hope to have a custom-made blend made for us that our members can purchase for gifts or have at home,” Daniel Low said. The Le Clainche brothers source their selected coffee beans from various regions and countries around the world, including Southeast Asia, Brazil, Africa, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica and more. Have you heard there are menu changes coming to the Beach Club menu, including the addition of a Roasted Beet Burrata Salad with a Vegan Green Goddess dressing that Chef Max of the Beach Club makes? On the most recent episode of “Chef’s Corner,” Chef Max instructs how to make the dressing that goes into this healthy, vibrantly-colored salad dish. Whether you enjoy vegan dressing or not, this Vegan Green Goddess dressing is perfect to accompany the roasted beets, fresh arugula, baby Burrata cheese and grapefruit segments. It’s not too sweet and not too tangy—a perfect combination for the palate. The ingredients included in the dressing are fresh cilantro, chives, scallions and tarragon, plus lemon juice, aqua faba—juice from chickpeas—Dijon mustard, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano and malt vinegar powder. Fun fact— malt vinegar powder can be used as a replacement for liquid vinegar in some recipes, offering a salt and vinegar flavor without making a dish soggy. It’s great for potatoes and fried fish. Chef Max provided a kitchen tip when making this dressing. “If you want a thicker, richer dressing, make sure all your ingredients are cold,” he said. To assemble the roasted beet burrata salad, assemble the fresh arugula, add baby heirloom cherry tomatoes, roasted beets, and grapefruit segments. Sprinkle all ingredients with extra virgin olive oil, add flaky salt and mix. “When plating, start with the greens first, so everything can rest upon it easily,” Chef Max said. “Then make sure all the colorful ingredients stand out, don’t let them hide behind the arugula.” To prepare the burrata cheese, cut it in wedges. “Notice the texture of burrata cheese is similar to mozzarella but it is creamier on the inside,” he added, saying to top off the salad, use a wonderful balsamic glaze. Learn how to make this vibrant dish on the latest episode of Chef’s Corner along with the Vegan Green Goddess Dressing, recipe below.

VEGAN GREEN GODDESS DRESSING

• ½ cup Aqua Faba (chickpea water) • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard

• ½ bunch Cilantro • ¼ bunch Tarragon • ½ bunch Parsley

• ½ bunch chopped Chives • ½ bunch chopped Scallions • 2 ea, lemon juice • 1 tsp salt and pepper • 1 tbsp malt vinegar powder • 1 tsp dry oregano • 2 cups blended oil, ie., extra virgin olive oil Instructions 1. Add Aqua Faba, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper, malt vinegar powder and tarragon into blender, slowing adding the extra virgin olive oil. 2. Once all ingredients come together, add the herbs, lemon juice and dry oregano. 3. Store in cooler, date and label the salad dressing container.

Not only do the cupcakes that Chef Kursten makes on the latest pastry edition of “Chef’s Corner” mirror the spring season, the blues and white colors resemble the colors from our new Frenchman’s Creek brand colors! “These are perfect for spring or to celebrate Mother’s Day or really any holiday,” Chef Kursten said. Chef Kursten explained step-by-step how to decorate cupcakes to make them look like a spring floral bouquet. “You need 12 cupcakes and can do any flavor you like,” she added. Using five separate piping bags with similar tips except for the white color, Chef Kursten drew her inspiration from the spring season’s array of flowers to create her cupcake bouquet: light blue roses, hydrangeas, and a special kind of flower, which is created with white petal tips and yellow dots in the center. “For the hydrangeas, I used a two- toned icing color to create the look of a hydrangea,” she explained, piping the icing onto vanilla cupcakes. Once all the cupcakes are iced with frosting, they can be arranged into a spring bouquet. These sweet treats can bring a light and joyful touch to any occasion. With every bite, they capture the essence of spring— sweet, fresh and full of color. View the icing techniques Chef Kursten used here [LINK TO CHEF’S CORNER EPISODE]. TEE TALK

DEAR MEMBERS,

March is the perfect month to learn how to set up and hit your Driver. It’s the longest club in the bag, so knowing how to incorporate the best approach can help increase speed and distance when you hit the ball. Our Assistant Golf Professional, Bella Modisha, explains here step-by-step how to set up and hit your Driver: 1. Grip - Make sure you have a proper grip on the club with the right grip pressure. A good grip is a must. 2. Stance - To allow for a good solid base you will need a little wider stance than normal. Simply start with your feet together and the club and ball in between your feet, take a small step to the left and a bigger step to the right, this leaves the ball inside the left heel, promoting an upswing motion of the club-face. Unlock the knees or a slight bend of the knees. 3. Posture/Set Up - Bend slightly at the hips, keeping the back straight and over. Let the arms hang down, loose. 4. Swing - Start your back swing with your left shoulder (upper core in one unit). This will help you shift your weight properly to the right side. Focus on a smooth controlled swing, as you drop your arms and shift your weight to your left side. Follow through fully. As Gary Player used to say that as he got older, to make sure that he shifted his weight fully to the front foot, he would take a step forward.

advantage.

Our ladies have had to travel to different clubs in the area, some as far as Wellington – a 45-minute drive – yet they continue to rise to the challenge. Their commitment to the team is commendable, as they have been practicing diligently in our weekly team sessions, and their hard work is paying off. Currently, they are in the top 6 of the league, competing against 10 teams. They are truly the pioneers of our Tennis team programs, which will expand next year. With the addition of 10 brand- new courts next season, we plan to introduce more teams, including a men’s team, a mixed doubles team, and another ladies’ team at the 4.0 level. Having at least four teams proudly representing Frenchman’s Creek is a milestone that has never been achieved before, and we are thrilled for what’s ahead!

The energy on our courts has been electric over the past month, with members bringing their best game and enthusiasm to every match, clinic, and social event. Our racquet sports program continues to thrive, proving once again that Frenchman’s Creek is the place to be for both competition and camaraderie!

SMASHING SUCCESSES AT RECENT EVENTS

Please offer a huge round of applause to all participants who made our recent events unforgettable: • Creek Ball Whites vs. Brights – A thrilling showdown with 24 players bringing the heat! • Creek Ball Women’s Doubles Tournament – Strategy, finesse, and fun as 14 competitors battled it out. • Pickleball at BallenIsles & Jonathan’s Landing – Our club was well represented with 16 enthusiastic members at each match. Way to go, team!

BOCCE BALL IS GROWING IN POPULARITY

Our Bocce members have been gathering at the courts every Tuesday and Thursday at 4 PM, and the enthusiasm is contagious. Now with an official Bocce seat in the Racquet Sports Committee, we are committed to have our Bocce players have a say in the program and make it an incredibly engaging experience for everyone. Mark Your Calendars – More Action Ahead! The excitement doesn’t stop here! Get ready for these upcoming events: • Creek Ball Men’s Doubles Championship – March 2 • Creek Ball Mixed Doubles Championship – March 16 • Tennis & Tapas – March 29 (An evening of fantastic play and delicious bites!)

SPECIAL NOD TO OUR WOMEN’S TEAM

If I could describe our Women’s Team, I’d say they are in a season of determination and success! We could not be prouder of our Women’s Tennis Team, who have been representing our club with incredible skill and dedication. Despite having only two tennis courts this season, they have been nothing short of spectacular, winning most of their matches and making a strong impact in the league. All their matches so far have been away games due to our limited court availability, meaning no home court

incredibly efficient. Members have had great success securing matches, and our structured scheduling has ensured that everyone gets ample time to enjoy the game they love. Our Tennis and Creek Ball clinics are booming, with members honing their skills and enjoying the competitive yet friendly environment. Creek Ball pick-up games have been a particular hit, bringing together players of all levels for fast-paced, exciting play.

KEEPING OUR COURTS IN TOP SHAPE

We take great pride in ensuring that our courts remain in pristine condition. Recently, we faced a minor challenge with the underground irrigation system, but thanks to our diligent maintenance team, the issue was quickly resolved. This incident underscored the importance of a brand- new irrigation system for our upcoming Creek Ball court conversion project, ensuring that our facilities remain world-class.

A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD

It’s an exciting time for racquet sports at the club, and we can’t wait to see what’s next. Whether you’re competing, learning, or just enjoying the social side of the game, there’s something for everyone on our courts. See you out there!

the small white ball, known as a pallino, than the other team.

In fact, with its renewed momentum at Frenchman’s Creek, an official Bocce seat has been established within the Racquet Sports Committee. “We want to ensure that Bocce players have a voice in shaping the program,” Hexsel added. “This strategic move reflects Bocce’s rapid growth and its firm place in the club’s social and competitive landscape.” Making the Bocce experience as exciting and as engaging as possible for all members is one of the chief objectives for the program. Bocce ball is not new to Frenchman’s, but it has steadily gained in popularity among members. It’s another reason why a dedicated seat was established on the Racquet Sports Committee, added Hexsel, to ensure it evolved in tandem with Tennis, Pickleball and Creek Ball. Once an old-world sport enjoyed by European nobility, as we reported in the October issue of The Current , today Bocce ball is played in backyards, parks and—yes—even sports bars. The rules are simple: throw your bocce balls closer to

The coordination, cross-training and strategic thinking required to play Bocce ball help make it a true complement to other racquet sports, especially if you have an intense day on other racquet sports courts. Bocce also serves as a contrast. The sport demands precision and control, while Tennis, Pickleball and Creek Ball are fast-paced and require agility. As the sport continues to flourish, Bocce is becoming a core component of the social and sporting culture here at Frenchman’s. Plans for the next year or two include expanding participation through more structured leagues and tournaments, and fostering inter-club Bocce matches with neighboring country clubs. Truly, a game for all ages, Bocce is accessible to all. Minimal equipment is required, and all of it is provided at the Frenchman’s Creek Bocce ball court. The game is about friendship and camaraderie—and when you add cocktails to the mix, like our Cocktails and Bocce event on February 20, it’s more fun than you can imagine.

THE ART OF THE SEASON CLOSING PARTY

Imagine sailing around the world with your friends while enjoying a curated menu featuring delicacies from various ports of call without having to leave the Frenchman’s Creek Community. On April 26, 2025, members will be able to embark on a specially-themed evening, “Cruising into Summer,” and celebrate a memorable season at the upcoming Season Closing Party. “We will be exploring food selections from ports in different continents around the world,” explained Daniel Low. “For example, with themed food stations highlighting a variety of global cuisine dishes, there is something for everybody.” From setting a date and theme, to decorations and ambiance, to staffing logistics and entertainment, the “Cruising into Summer” theme was decided upon several months ago. “The planning phase began by meeting with the committee,” Low said, noting the committee decided upon the theme and he and his team expanded upon the idea and began their process of careful planning and execution.

With Executive Chef Tim Recher finalizing the menu, Low has met the goal to capitalize on giving everyone a sense of cultural cuisine from around the world. Although he did not share specific details about the food, its locations or table décor and other decorations, he did eagerly reveal “there will be a great half-time show where we are traveling to a country in South America.” The logistics behind planning this type of event are massive to execute. In addition to ongoing meetings with the committee, Low is working with engineering to confirm power sources, generators, lighting, and electrical needs for all equipment. “We need refrigeration, heat lamps, and then we have to plan the logistics of the overall layout and table placements aka “suites,” he said. “The party will be held in parking lot West, so we think about the flow of traffic, and where to place the stage for visibility.” In cruise ship terms, Low said, staff needs will be all hands on deck, followed by involving the Security team for safety and valet operations for car and golf cart parking considerations. Not to be missed is the entertainment, which is a live band noted for its mix of cool rhythms and elegant stage presence. Le Clique, a member favorite, will be back. Season Opening and Closing Parties typically draw 300 to 350 members in attendance—Low is aiming for a record number this year. “We want to have the entire community come together to give them a sense of delight, giddy excitement and awe at the end of this remarkable season, with laughter filling the air, making even the smallest moment feel like something extraordinary,” Low said.

The committee co-chairs are Phyllis Shustak and Linda Robbins.

“The idea of bringing everyone together for a night filled with live music, dancing, upscale cuisine and elegant decor is very exciting!” Phyllis Shustak said. “It is going to be a truly memorable evening where friends and neighbors all come together as we celebrate the Season’s successes in style, making for an unforgettable night for the entire community.” Low reinforced Shustak’s enthusiasm, adding “I am thrilled of the committee’s commitment and collaboration to make this event so successful. Phyllis Shustak has shared many incredible, creative ideas.”

SPRING CLEANING FOR MIND AND BODY

Spring is the perfect time to refresh your body, mind and palate. It’s a time of renewal and growth. During the winter, indulging in heavier foods or being more sedentary is common. By focusing on nourishment from the inside out, you can support your body’s natural detoxification process. A Spring detox involves proper nutrition, more exercise, a focus self-care and minimizing digital device time. Doing so can help you regain energy and set yourself up for a vibrant, healthy season ahead. The goal is to feel rejuvenated with no intention of restrictive diets.

or raspberries, are rich in antioxidants. This helps fight oxidative stress. Other fruits, like grapefruit, oranges, and lemons, can help boost your immune system and aid digestion. Incorporate fiber-rich foods like beans, lentils, and whole grains to support digestive health and maintain steady energy levels. Aim for colorful plates packed with variety, as diverse nutrients help the body detox and replenish.

GO FOR LIGHT, PLANT-BASED MEALS

To align with the seasonal changes, try reducing your intake of heavier animal products and focus on plant-based meals. Plants are easy to digest, provide plenty of fiber, and help keep your digestive system in balance. Here are a few recommendations: • Breakfast: Go for a smoothie bowl or a chia pudding topped with fresh fruit and seeds. • Lunch and Dinner: Create salads loaded with leafy greens, roasted veggies, quinoa, avocado, and light dressing. A vegetable stir- fry with brown rice or whole-grain pasta is another great option. • Snacks: Enjoy fruit, raw nuts, seeds, or hummus with raw vegetables. By leaning into lighter, plant-based meals, you’ll give your body the fuel it needs to thrive without feeling weighed down.

The first step? H2O.

START WITH HYDRATION

Drinking plenty of water helps flush out toxins and supports your digestive system. Aim for at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. Make hydration more exciting! Try infusing it with natural ingredients like lemon and mint, cucumber and line, or ginger and turmeric. Herbal teas are good, too, such as peppermint, dandelion, and green tea—all good to aid the detoxification process and boost metabolism.

EAT NUTRIENT-DENSE FOODS

A Spring detox focuses on incorporating fresh, vibrant, and nutrient-packed foods into your diet. Seasonal vegetables and fruits are at their peak, making it the perfect time to enjoy them! Eat leafy greens, like spinach, kale, and arugula; they are full of chlorophyll, which helps detoxify your body. Other vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts support liver detoxification.

GET ACTIVE

Along with improving your nutrition, exercise is an essential part of any Spring detox. Regular physical activity stimulates circulation, supports digestion, and helps the body naturally eliminate toxins through sweat.

begin with moderate activities like walking, yoga, or swimming.

A Spring detox isn’t about eliminating entire food groups or depriving yourself—but it is about being aware of what you put in, comes out. How many hours do you spend each day on your devices? Try to avoid screens at least two hours before bedtime.

Sweat it Out: Consider engaging in activities like cycling or our aerobics classes that increase your heart rate. These exercises get blood pumping and help your body expel toxins through sweat. Strength Training: Incorporating strength training into your routine helps to build muscle, improve posture, and boost metabolism. Lighter weights or bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges, and push-ups are great for overall strength and detoxes. Stretch and Recover: Stretching exercises, such as yoga or Pilates, enhance flexibility and reduce stress. Make sure to allow time for rest and recovery, ensuring your body can rejuvenate.
