Women’s Tennis Team Makes History—and more!

advantage.

Our ladies have had to travel to different clubs in the area, some as far as Wellington – a 45-minute drive – yet they continue to rise to the challenge. Their commitment to the team is commendable, as they have been practicing diligently in our weekly team sessions, and their hard work is paying off. Currently, they are in the top 6 of the league, competing against 10 teams. They are truly the pioneers of our Tennis team programs, which will expand next year. With the addition of 10 brand- new courts next season, we plan to introduce more teams, including a men’s team, a mixed doubles team, and another ladies’ team at the 4.0 level. Having at least four teams proudly representing Frenchman’s Creek is a milestone that has never been achieved before, and we are thrilled for what’s ahead!

The energy on our courts has been electric over the past month, with members bringing their best game and enthusiasm to every match, clinic, and social event. Our racquet sports program continues to thrive, proving once again that Frenchman’s Creek is the place to be for both competition and camaraderie!

SMASHING SUCCESSES AT RECENT EVENTS

Please offer a huge round of applause to all participants who made our recent events unforgettable: • Creek Ball Whites vs. Brights – A thrilling showdown with 24 players bringing the heat! • Creek Ball Women’s Doubles Tournament – Strategy, finesse, and fun as 14 competitors battled it out. • Pickleball at BallenIsles & Jonathan’s Landing – Our club was well represented with 16 enthusiastic members at each match. BOCCE BALL IS GROWING IN POPULARITY

Our Bocce members have been gathering at the courts every Tuesday and Thursday at 4 PM, and the enthusiasm is contagious. Now with an official Bocce seat in the Racquet Sports Committee, we are committed to have our Bocce players have a say in the program and make it an incredibly engaging experience for everyone. Mark Your Calendars – More Action Ahead! The excitement doesn’t stop here! Get ready for these upcoming events: • Creek Ball Men’s Doubles Championship – March 2 • Creek Ball Mixed Doubles Championship – March 16 • Tennis & Tapas – March 29 (An evening of fantastic play and delicious bites!)

SPECIAL NOD TO OUR WOMEN’S TEAM

If I could describe our Women’s Team, I’d say they are in a season of determination and success! We could not be prouder of our Women’s Tennis Team, who have been representing our club with incredible skill and dedication. Despite having only two tennis courts this season, they have been nothing short of spectacular, winning most of their matches and making a strong impact in the league. All their matches so far have been away games due to our limited court availability, meaning no home court
