MILESTONES MONTHLY UPDATES FROM THE COO
Dear Members,
It was a wet and chilly start to the season, but lately we’ve been enjoying a beautiful Florida winter. We have also been receiving overwhelmingly positive member feedback across all operations, including food quality and service, golf course conditions and tournaments, racquet sports activities, and much more. I am very proud of our staff who, despite challenging circumstances have delivered a much- improved experience for residents this year. All that said, I cannot wait to get my team settled into the new clubhouse so that operations are centralized, and managers can more effectively supervise operations and ensure the levels of service you receive are of the highest standard. To that end, I thought this would be a good moment to share our plans for transitioning out of temporary operations, commissioning the new building, moving the team into their new surroundings, and then managing a phased opening. We will then have 30 days to “commission” the building (by ensuring that every piece of equipment - down to the last light switch and door latch - is working properly), move staff in, prepare all back-of-house work areas, and begin staff training. Our plan is to open the Clubhouse’s lower level first. This will enable us to move staff out of temporary operations and open the main production kitchen, purchasing area, and employee areas. Most importantly, we will be able to open the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and card rooms, the golf and tennis shops, and Greenside, our new buffet restaurant overlooking the 9th green of the South Course. Greenside will be the only restaurant open in the clubhouse in the first phase of the move-in, offering breakfast,
lunch, and dinner. Since Greenside is a buffet-only restaurant, we will also open the Poolside Café for lunch and dinner to provide members with an a la carte alternative. In the next phase, we plan to open a new venue every three to four weeks, until the opening is complete. The second venue to open will be Hoyt’s,
our new sports bar. As you enjoy Greenside and Hoyt’s, we will be busily training staff in Opus and Alchemy, our upscale food and
