Colbert Packaging Showcased Robotic Solutions At PACK EXPO Kenosha, Wisconsin based Colbert Packaging, a manu- facturer of custom paper-based packaging, announced its new robotic solution for product palletization operations that was showcased during PACK EXPO International on September 11-13. Designed for automated and integrated labeling, orientation and palletization, the new customized system is designed to streamline manual processes. Colbert partnered with RōBEX, an industrial robot in- tegration provider, to assess operational challenges and identify a solution. The RōBEX team, with expertise in au- tomotive, aerospace, and palletizing, worked alongside the Colbert team to design the new system.

The solution needed the capability to pick and pal- letize multiple case variations and pallet configurations. Colbert also needed to manage multiple tier sheets and pallet types. RōBEX’s expertise and design approach led to the creation of a unique End-of-Arm Tool (EOAT) that proficiently handles all requirements.
