Or how much press time could be saved by formulating colors during prepress instead of press-side,” said Joe Tuccitto, FTA director of education. “The print project at Fall Technical Conference makes these a reality, and we can’t wait to share the results.” For more information and to register, visit fallconfer- ence.flexography.org . FTA’s upcoming Fall Technical Conference — part of its 65th anniversary celebration taking place October 9-11 in Louisville, Kentucky — will showcase an exciting print demonstration project at the center of its three-day agen- da, bookended by presentations covering workforce pro- ductivity, product quality and accurate color reproduction. The project captures Fall Technical Conference’s theme of “Doing More with Less” by utilizing The Optimal Meth- od — a groundbreaking color calibration technique — and featuring digitally formulated spot colors with expanded gamut. Each attendee will receive their own print sample to compare dozens of spot colors built with both 7-color and CMYK. On stage, industry experts will walk through the project from start to finish, highlighting its cost savings, waste reduction and efficiency improvements.
