Culture Mt Hagen hosts the Hagen Show once a year and this festival of colour, costumes and smiles is an absolute must-see if you can time your visit to coincide with
region and enjoy the cooler climate of the mountains.
Temperatures range from 10°C at night to 20°C during the day. Southern, Western and Enga Provinces in the Highlands region are prone to intertribal disturbances. Remember these tribal conflicts are not aimed or targeted at foreigners.
