The Morobe Agricultural Show is the country’s longest-running cultural show and takes place in Lae each year in late October. Activities Madang offers a range of canoeing, surfing, and trekking options. Visit remote outstations on homestay, go game fishing, buy valuable artefacts and handicrafts, go sailing or cruise up the Sepik River. In Vanimo, the hospitable Lido Surf Club , enroute to the Indonesian/ West Papuan border, is home to many national surf champions for good reason. Surfers are never disappointed with the wave breaks at Lido and visitors are stunned by the scenery. This is where the forest meets the sea. The islands and fishing options in Lae are also major drawcards for locals and visitors.
