Offers information and referral on blindness and visual impairment. Offers toll-free information and referral on all aspects of visual impairment, including blindness, glaucoma, vision loss due to diabetes. Offers Support Groups, transportation assistance, and Field Service program which locates blind veterans to link them with programs available. Helps all blind and visually impaired Californians gain full independence and equality of opportunity. Library services to people who are unable to read standard print books because of visual or physical disabilities. Services offered free to qualified applicants are Braille and talking books, magazines, machines, catalogs. Services designed to help people with sight loss gain skills needed to live independent, successful lives. Programs include a variety of training, social programs, and recreational opportunities.
