Domestic Violence Services

YWCA of Sonoma County

Provides a 24-hour hotline, individual and group therapy, and support groups for victims of domestic violence, child abuse and or sexual assault. A residential emergency safe house in a confidential location is also available for women and their children who are at-risk of domestic violence or sexual assault and cannot remain at home.

ALS Foundation

ALS Foundation: Golden West Chapter

Providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships. Provides information and education on support groups for cancer patients, families of cancer patients, and caregivers. One on one peer support provided for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery program. Call for specific groups in and around Santa Rosa. Offers education programs about heart disease and stroke in addition to CPR classes for patients and their families. Provides support groups and information on lung health for patients and their families. Better Breathers Clubs (BBC) are a core program and resource of the American Lung Association in California. The club offers patient- centered and community-based educational opportunities and support to persons with chronic lung disease.
