Alzheimer’s Association

Offers information and support for caregivers, family and friends of persons with Alzheimer’s disease. Provides information and education on support groups for cancer patients, families of cancer patients, and caregivers. One on one peer support provided for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery program. Call for specific groups in and around Santa Rosa. Older adult volunteers provide individual emotional and social assistance to seniors with various mental health issues, who are living independently. Provides programs including training, social, and recreational opportunities in a safe space for people with sight loss. An unmoderated group for families, partners, and caregivers who want a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of providing care for adults with disorders such as Alzheimer’s, stroke, brain injury, and other chronic debilitating health conditions. This group meets only through email. Participants send and receive email to take part in discussions. Free telephone conference based program offering activities, friendly conversation, education, and an assortment of classes, support groups, and presentations for homebound or isolated persons aged 50+. Provides comprehensive services for the entire community, from bill paying to conservator of estate, to help older adults safely manage their finances.
